WHY TINT YOUR WINDOWS?
There are many advantages to tinting your vehicles windows. Here are some reasons why you should:
Your passengers will feel much more comfortable
Create a more classy look
Increased protection from criminals
Improve fuel efficiency
We use only the best brands. Window tint has some amazing characteristics. As a very thin film, it has the ability to be UVA and UVB proof, blocking between 97% and 99% of rays. These rays are known to be harmful to humans. It is a well known fact that the number-one cause of skin cancer is over exposure to Ultra-Violet light. Window tint contributes to a healthier life for you and your family.
Different types of film exist and they vary in nature. Typically, clients will want to darken the appearance of the windows, however this is not necessary. Clear films can be applied which do not aesthetically change the window, but still provide UV protection.
Inside the jurisdiction of the UK laws, you are bound by the driver and vehicle standards agency, therefore the following laws apply:
Vehicles first used on 1 April 1985 or Later:
The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through
Vehicles first used before 1 April 1985:
The front windscreen and front side windows must both let at least 70% of light through.
If your windscreen or front side windows are tinted too much you could get:
A Prohibition Notice stopping you from using your vehicle on the road until you have the tint removed
A Penalty Notice or Court Summons
Tinted windows are NOT part of the MOT test.
